THE EIGHTH

This is an extrasupercrazy late Friday post, but even though it’s 1:40 a.m. Saturday…it still counts as Friday because I haven’t gone to sleep yet ;)

I got my first taste of midnight movie madness for The Hunger Games on Thursday.  I don’t usually get into the latest movie fads, but I did read the entire series in like two weeks.  I didn’t realize that theaters SELL OUT every room with the same movie.  We arrived an hour early, and they seemed to have already filled many of the theaters.  Alicia and I had a blast giggling at all the teenage girls oohing and ahhing at all the love scenes with the Katniss-Peeta-Gale love triangle.  I had a great time, but I honestly loved the books more than the movie {sorry!} :)

Brendan has been gone an entire WEEK for a tournament!  I had to stick around in Charlotte to deal with the new house stuff and be here for a couple rockin’ shoots.  We spent the first seven months of our relationship long distance, so one would think it would be easy for us.  However, since we tied the knot, it’s been more difficult than ever before to be separated.  I think this was the longest we’ve been apart since we got married.  I’m so thankful for FaceTime because I can actually see his smile, even though I can’t hug him!

With Brendan gone, I’ve had plenty of quality “Megan” time.  I’ve figured out that I eat healthier and go the gym more often when I’m alone, but I sleep in and stay up SO much later {Brendan has a more normal work schedule than I do!}  I had intended to do some serious spring cleaning, but I ended up taking a couple naps instead {must be exhaustion from all the time at the gym!}. ;)  I was, however, VERY productive and checked everything off of my to-do list!

Happy weekend!

  • Alicia - Girl – I’ve loved getting to spend so much time with u! And I agree, the books are more detailed than the movie. Eric finished the first one in less than a day! Until the next one! xoxReplyCancel
