Hey friends! I’m super excited to announce that last week I was invited to be a part of The NotWedding in Charleston this June!
The NotWedding is a large collaborative event involving multiple talented wedding vendors and artists to put together a fake wedding for real brides-to-be. It showcases some pretty awesome wedding ideas that are opposite of the traditional wedding mentality. The three intentions of The NotWedding are “to inspire brides, to promote local business, and to encourage solid marriages.”
I 100% support couples that create a wedding that celebrates who they uniquely are as a couple, rather than just putting together a big party that has nothing to do with them and all to do with what is expected of at a “wedding.” Yes, it’s fun to have a great big party, but at the end of the day, you are celebrating the coming-together of two individuals who plan to spend the rest of their lives together. It’s such an honor to be a part of every story that crosses my path, and it’s exciting to see the many different ways my couples celebrate this unity.
